Little needs to be added to the interesting essay by English critic Val Wilmer in the accompanying booklet except to give full and proper credit to Dutch archivists for rescuing the reputation of this fine player and composer of Anglo-African origin.
That said, this interesting blog post which discusses Foresythe from an African-American viewpoint should not be missed:

  4. Both the essay and the music are of great interest. Alas, I'm too late and the link has expired. If you have the time and inclination to re-up, I would be very grateful.

    2. Rodney, you're a prince! Thank you very much.
File is downloading as I type (I won't miss it this time), and it's coming in smoothly at a respectable 200 kb clip.

    3. You're welcome, zero. This link is meant to be "permanent", or at least as much as can be in the present climate. Thanks for the feedback. 200kb doesn't sound too bad.
