0477 Ray Swinfield [Argenta Ora - The Winged Cliff] FLAC 10(41.28)

Contributed by azule serape, who writes:-
Australian Ray Swinfield, now a long term resident in the UK, is perhaps best known here on the session and easy listening scene mainly as a flute player (he also plays all the saxes and clarinet) and has made few jazz recordings under his own name.
This is one of them from 1982 and included is a tribute to his native land in the form of one side of the lp entitled ' The Sydney Suite'.
Well worth checking out for his masterful flute playing alone.

0476 Tony Kinsey [Joy Train] FLAC 5(24.14)

First post of the new year (our sixth) and first in the new pattern which will be Tuesdays for the normal BritJazz albums and Fridays for those including Ronnie Ross. We are having to reduce the frequency so as to preserve the life of the blog for as long as we can so it'll be just two a week for the next few months after which time the Ross albums will be exhausted. Then it will be just one a week unless some unexpected treasure trove of suitable British jazz albums appears out of the blue. We live in hope.

The material here (a day early as I'm busy tomorrow) is on Ronnie Ross Music as part of the [After Hours] compilation. Splitting compiliations makes it last longer. We hope you like the new covers, created with much enthusiasm by jazzandylan.
