Thanks Rodney and Bluebird! Nice! Cheers!
ReplyDeletePersonally I prefer this to "Milk Wood" ...are there gasps ? It is a freer flowing session with strong tunes.I think there may be a few extra tracks/takes in Victor's vault....can someone get them ? Afro Charie....a gem !!
ReplyDeleteWell, I fall into the school that considers "Starless and Bible-Black" to be one of the great pieces of music of all time - not just in jazz but everything - so it's not obvious that I'm going to agree with you here. But I'm sure as hell going to have a good time finding out :-)
DeleteThanks for this post!
From the June22 session there is another take of Afro Charlie and from the July 13 session another take of Let Them Crevulate, 3 takes of Everywhere Derriere and 1 take of Amoroso Only More So. Would be great to hear them
ReplyDeleteA belated thank you to Bluebird and Rodney for this one. Good to have another album from this period.
ReplyDeleteWow - I was looking for this music several years ago but didn't find a copy (as far as my account allowed). Forgot about and now I see it posted here.
ReplyDeleteBluebird and Rodney - Thank you!
And I thought Easter is good only for coloured eggs :-)
