  4. Thank you so much for this musical event! I met him in a Los Angeles club and he was a great person as well as a great player. He signed my albums and talked about being with Frank Rosolino on a recording date the night his first son was born. I first heard him on "Mallets A Fore Thought" on the Mode - then the Interlude label and immediately loved his technique on the vibes. His untimely death was a real shocker.

  5. Axel - thanks for sharing your memories of Victor. He was certainly one of the foremost among British jazz musicians of our period, and later of course. Perhaps there will be more from him here soon, I hope.
