Thanks you Rodney and Grumpy! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteI had this buried on VHS tape for a quarter of a century. On re-discovering it recently I was amazed at how good Best is and astonished that he seems to have chosen not to record.
ReplyDeleteI eagerly await tomorrow's post!
Many thanks, Rodney and Grumpy!
ReplyDeleteThanks, grumpy and Rodney. Nice to hear a British vibist who isn't Tubby Hayes or Bill Le Sage.
ReplyDeleteThank you, both.
ReplyDeleteLennie also played at the "Palm Court Hotel" in Richmond at a gig run by Ed Faultless, bass, with Martin Joseph, piano, and Dick Brennan, drums. He was a very swinging player.
ReplyDeleteThanks Guys for this excellent post :)
ReplyDeleteAnd one more! Already listened yesterday a bit to the second post of Lennie Best.
ReplyDeleteExcellent - Thank you very much!!
I always regarded Lennie Best as an excellent vibes player, so it's great that at least a couple of sessions have survived. Thanks to Grumpy and Rodney.
