Nice post.
ReplyDeleteTank you Rodney.
Thanks Gonzo ... great to have some Davern.
ReplyDeleteGood post. Humph is sorely missed - and not just because of his playing, but also as a champion presenter of jazz over many years on the BBC and through his writing. Many thanks.
ReplyDeleteRemember this coming out back then and a friend of mine geting a copy from a Humph gig which i think was in Barnes, Going to be nice to hear it again, thanks Gonzo and Rodney.

ReplyDeleteMany thanks, Gonzo and Rodney.
Thanks very much.
ReplyDeleteThank you Gonzo and Rodney for a wonderful post, I think the understated version of Scatterbrain is a joy to behold.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot Gonzo and Rodney for more of the great Kenny Davern with Humph in excelent form.
ReplyDeleteGood stuff - missed this one for some reason back in Jan. Personally, I enjoyed listening to Humph's version of Shim-Me-Sha-Wabble on this album. That's a tune I always associate with hearing Max Collie's Rhythm Aces on a number of occasions with my late stepfather - part of my introduction to jazz.
