Here's an oddity. A jazz 45 from 1962 with a super group calling themselves 'The Jazz Stars'. Just look at the line up.
I wonder why just a single was issued?

A nice discovery.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks.
Never thought this one would turn up! In '62 Steve Race presented a BBC radio series called (you guessed it) "The Jazz Scene" - so he wrote the sig tune. Not too many record companies at the time - or since - would go to the expense of a whole album of such a quality line-up so all we got was this single. Good of Steve to get Terry Shannon to dep for him at the keyboard too.
ReplyDeleteGreat post Bellawoods
ReplyDeleteOne more time I would like to express my appreciation!
